Pet Sitting & Dog Walking in Arlington, Virginia

In-Home Pet Care Across Arlington Since 1993

Arlington is one of the busiest parts of our service area — our sitters are in North Arlington, Clarendon, Ballston, and Shirlington neighborhoods every weekday. Capital Petsitters has been caring for Northern Virginia pets since 1993, and we’re based just next door in Falls Church.

Every visit happens in your home, on your pet’s schedule, with a sitter you’ve met beforehand. No boarding, no pack walks, no rotating strangers.

Our Arlington Services

Mid-Day Dog Walking. A 20, 30, or 45-minute walk and play session while you’re at work. Popular with Arlington professionals commuting to Rosslyn, Crystal City, or into DC — your dog gets out midday whether or not your meeting runs long.

Vacation & Daily Visits. Dogs, cats, and most small pets, following your exact routine. Photo updates and visit notes after every visit.

Overnight Care. A sitter stays in your home overnight, keeping evening and morning routines intact — and your home occupied while you travel.

Medication Visits. Oral medication, injections, and subcutaneous fluids, including insulin and seizure medication, administered by experienced sitters.

Arlington Neighborhoods We Serve

We cover all of Arlington County — 22201, 22202, 22203, 22204, 22205, 22206, 22207, and 22209 — including Clarendon, Courthouse, Virginia Square, Ballston, Rosslyn, Lyon Village, Lyon Park, Cherrydale, Westover, Bluemont, Ashton Heights, Arlington Ridge, Aurora Highlands, Shirlington, Fairlington, Columbia Pike, Crystal City, and Pentagon City.

Our sitters know Arlington’s dog spots well: the Shirlington Dog Park along Four Mile Run, Benjamin Banneker Park, Glencarlyn Park, Fort Barnard, and Madison Manor. We walk the W&OD and Custis Trails daily, and the Mount Vernon Trail near Rosslyn. If you’re near Ballston Quarter, the Clarendon Metro, or Potomac Overlook Regional Park, you’re well inside our service area.

They’ve been lifesavers and the initial consultation/visitation was thorough — she took her time taking in all the info and writing down notes. The sitters have been so great with our cat.
